Why Brackish

What a well-structured continuity plan does for your organisation

Continuity planning is less about predicting every scenario and more about knowing what matters most and having a clear path back to normal.

Operational Clarity

Your team knows exactly which functions to prioritise and in what sequence, reducing confusion when pressure builds.

Shared Ownership

Continuity responsibilities sit with your people, not stored in a single document that nobody has read since it was written.

Proportionate Planning

Plans are sized to your organisation — not templates built for multinationals applied to SMEs, or vice versa.

Faster Recovery

Organisations with documented recovery steps return to normal operations noticeably faster than those working from memory.

Stakeholder Confidence

Clients, partners, and regulators take note when an organisation can demonstrate it has considered operational risks carefully.

Maintained Over Time

Good continuity planning builds review habits so your documentation stays current as your business changes.

Common Questions

What organisations typically ask us

What exactly is business continuity planning?
Business continuity planning is the process of identifying which operations your organisation depends on most, then mapping out how to keep those functions running — or recover them quickly — when something goes wrong. This might be a supplier issue, a systems outage, a key person being unavailable, or an unexpected event affecting your premises. The result is not an emergency plan but a working set of documented procedures and responsibilities your team can act on without having to improvise.
How do I know which service is right for my organisation?
The Continuity Snapshot suits organisations that have not started planning yet and want to understand where they stand before committing to anything larger. The Continuity Planning Advisory is a good fit when a team is ready to work through a structured plan across a few sessions. The Continuity Practice Programme is designed for organisations that want to build continuity into how they operate — with documentation, review cycles, and light drills embedded over time. If you are unsure, an initial conversation with an adviser will help clarify the right starting point.
How long does the advisory process take?
The Continuity Snapshot is a single session, typically two to three hours, followed by a short written note. The Continuity Planning Advisory runs across four sessions, usually spread over four to six weeks depending on your team's availability. The Continuity Practice Programme spans eleven sessions and is typically delivered over three to four months. Sessions are designed to fit around normal working schedules.
What does a session involve for our team?
Sessions are structured conversations with relevant people in your organisation — often a small group of two to four people depending on the topic. We cover specific areas such as critical functions, dependencies, recovery priorities, and documented procedures. The work between sessions is intentionally light: reviewing a template, confirming a contact list, or reading through a draft section. The adviser guides the process; your team provides the knowledge of your operations.
Is the information we share kept confidential?
Yes. All information shared during advisory engagements is treated as confidential to Brackish. We do not share operational details, documentation, or findings with any third party. A standard confidentiality agreement is included as part of every engagement. Advisory documents produced during the engagement remain the property of your organisation.
Are the services delivered in person or remotely?
Sessions can be conducted in person at your premises, at our Kuala Lumpur office, or via video call — depending on what works best for your team. Many organisations find a mix of formats works well across a longer engagement. For the Continuity Snapshot, an in-person session at your location often produces the most useful findings. We are happy to discuss the most practical arrangement for your situation.
